A teenage guy died after getting into trouble while swimming in a lake in southeast London.
The Metropolitan Police announced that the 15-year-old’s body was found from the lake in Beckenham Place Park, Lewisham, at around 22:40 BST on Friday.
The police were summoned about 15:00 to reports of the kid “going missing after getting into difficulty in the water,” according to a statement from the Met on Saturday. “Specialist diving teams were in attendance alongside the London Ambulance Service and London Fire Brigade.”
The youngster, who has not been named, was taken to the hospital and confirmed dead. His family has been informed.

The Met stated that his death was “unexpected” but not suspicious.
The authorities first stated that the youngster was 16, but have since established his age as 15.
Beckenham Place Park has reopened, according to a Lewisham Council representative, but the lake will stay closed with security in place “until further notice”.
The spokesman continued, “We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family and friends.”
“We are working closely with the police in order that their investigation establishes the full facts of what’s happened.”
On Monday, 11-year-old Kaliyah Coa disappeared in the River Thames.
The Met has launched a “recovery mission” to find her.
