The Dallas Cowboys have a few needs as the NFL Draft approaches, but one of the most obvious is a standout wide receiver to complement CeeDee Lamb.
Dallas needs to add offensive playmakers before the draft in a few weeks, and a new NFL mock draft shows the team going all out to get their guy.
According to Ian Valentino of The 33rd Team, the Cowboys may trade up to get Tetairoa McMillan, a 6-foot-4 wide receiver prospect from Arizona, ahead of the 2025 NFL draft. “Dallas is the next team to trade up, as it wants to beat the Raiders for a playmaker. Tetairoa McMillan is the ideal fit with CeeDee Lamb,” he writes.
“Dak Prescott would love to have two distinct receivers who would make his job easier. This also allows Dallas to select a running back in Round 2 rather than going for a non-premium position at No. 12.”
Last season, McMillan had 84 receptions for 1,319 yards and eight touchdowns. McMillan has surpassed 1,000 yards for the second year in a row.
With his enormous stature and ball abilities, McMillan would be an ideal receiver to combine with Lamb, who can work across the middle. If the Cowboys could snag McMillan in Round 1 then boost the running back room on Day 2, it would be a fantastic start to the draft and would pique Cowboys Nation’s interest.
The 2025 NFL Draft will take place in Green Bay, Wisconsin, with the first round on Thursday, April 24. Rounds 2 and 3 will be held on Friday, April 25, and the final rounds will take place on Saturday, April 26.
