A man has been charged with grievous bodily harm (GBH) with purpose after an alleged violent assault at a motocross event on Thursday, which gravely injured another man. Wiltshire Police reported that the incident occurred around 9:15 p.m. BST at Foxhill Motocross in Upper Wanborough, near Swindon.

Emergency services were promptly rushed to the scene, and the injured guy was taken to a hospital for treatment. The nature of his injuries has not been revealed, but they are said to be severe.

Ben Starr, 34, of Woodside Avenue in Ripley, has been arrested in connection with the incident. He has been charged with GBH with intent and is currently in detention. Starr is expected to appear in Swindon Magistrates Court on Saturday.

 

The facts surrounding the assault remain unknown, and no further information has been disclosed by authorities. Investigations are ongoing, and Wiltshire Police will likely make updates when new information becomes available.
