Delaware State Police are looking into a tragic motorcycle crash that occurred in Newark on Tuesday.
According to officials, on August 6, 2024, at approximately 5:01 p.m., a Harley Davidson FXS motorbike was heading eastbound in the left lane on Pulaski Highway, near Wrangle Hill Road. At the same time, a Nissan Altima was going west on Pulaski Highway and had reached the crossover east of Wrangle Hill Road.
According to preliminary findings, the Altima entered the eastbound lanes of Pulaski Highway, directly into the path of the motorcyclist. As a result, the front of the motorcycle collided with the passenger side of the Altima, ejecting the driver.
Nicole Hill, 45, of Bear, Delaware, was brought to a hospital with life-threatening injuries after driving the motorcycle. She died on August 8, 2024, as a result of her injuries.
The driver of the Altima, a 24-year-old Newark man, was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
